I believe the boltons are more along the lines of supporting mods, reason being is that ecu tuning involves upping the boost and adjusting other parameters, the boltons support this by being less restrictive than the stock parts, but I'll leave it to the experts to confirm From my experience, the real performance gains are from the ecu tuning and e85.
A true 450-460whp civic type r has the only power to weight ratio if a hellcat. A 500whp type r can outrun a hellcat on the highway. If your dyno graph says 475whp and you can barely outrun a Mazda speed 3 you might want to go ask for your uncorrected values.
More specifically, the FK8 developed 316 horsepower and 334 pound-foot (just under 453 Nm) versus 327 horsepower and 359 pound-foot (just under 487 Nm) for the FL5. βThereβs going to be a lot
With over 300+ horsepower in stock form, the FK8 is definitely the most power Civic Type R ever, however, there is still room for improvement. Thanks to the turbocharged nature of the K20C1 engine, increasing the power output of the FK8 Civic Type R is as easy as turning up the boost.
