New to this forum but have owned a b7 s4, b8 s4, b8.5 rs5, b7 rs4 and daily an A6. I'm an audi fan. Im thinking about getting a b5 s4 with 100k miles. It was regularly maintained by the dealer, clutch done recently but has not had the timing belt done and has stock turbos. in doing some internet research I've heard that the b5 s4 has reliability problems.
Did all 4 tires a bit over 20k. I went with the PS4S's. 1 thing to note was I had to get a alignment done too which added about $500. I did Audi care so I don't know what the costs for service were. The tires were on a Buy 3, Get 1 sale. I think it was about $1,800 with the alignment. Endless-Summer-AZ. • 3 yr. ago.

In my experience not on the Gen 3. Some of the very early IS20 Turbo’s has issues but the S3 has a different turbo so you don’t have to worry about that. This platform has been out for 5+ years now and any common issues would have been documented by now. There’s some around with 100K miles with basic maintenance.
